I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
