In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an special katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
